Picture this: It’s September. Grace is sitting there in her gown among all the other graduates. She’s finally holding the degree she worked so hard for. But rewind a year ago, and that moment was just a pipe dream. She was staring at a final fee balance she couldn’t clear, terrified that after all those years of sacrifice, she was going to be sent home empty-handed. She’d convinced herself it was over, until you stepped in to help. That dream that she never thought would actually come true? It happened because of a little support at the right time. She might not be able to identify you by name, but because of you, she will graduate.

This is why we’re hosting the CHRM Scholarship Fund Walk. It’s not just about a 5KM or 10KM route; it’s about making sure more students like Grace don’t have to give up when they are staring at the finish line.

We’re heading to Ngong Road Forest on Saturday, June 27th, and we want you there. We’ve mapped out the trails clearly, so you can focus on the fresh air and the company without worrying about getting lost.

Why you should join us:

  • The Mentorship Trail: This is the heart of the day. We’re ditching the formal, awkward networking sessions. Instead, we’re pairing up veterans in the industry with students and those just starting their careers. Imagine a casual stroll where you can actually ask someone, “How did you get there?” or “What should I be doing differently?” It’s a space for honest, real-world advice that you can’t get in a textbook. If you’ve got wisdom to share, we need you. If you’re looking for a bit of direction, you need to be there.
  • A Little Friendly Competition: We’re using an app called Step Up to keep things fun. Download it, join the “CHRM Scholarship Fund Walk 2026” group (the link is inside the registration form), and let’s see who can clock the most steps. It’s a great way to push yourself while supporting the cause.
  • An Inclusive Space: Whether you’re a professional in the corporate world, a student from any institution, or just someone who wants to spend a morning outdoors with family, you are welcome.

We’re aiming to raise Ksh 500,000. It’s a big goal, but with enough of us on the trail, it’s well within reach. Let’s show up, get some fresh air, and make sure more students get to finish what they started.
