Who We Are

The College of Human Resource Management (CHRM) is a leading academic institution in Kenya, offering a wide range of programs in Human resource management, Accounting, Marketing, Supplies management business management, ICT, Cyber Security, Community Development, and much more. We are committed to providing our students with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive in the global job market.

The College of Human Resource Management (CHRM) began operating in 1997 as a training division of the Institute of Personnel Management {IPM}(K). IPM (K) was an association created in 1987 to meet the professional needs of Personnel Managers in the country. In 2008 IPM (K) registered CHRM as a company limited by guarantee without shares.

In addition to our academic offerings, we also serve as an accredited study and test center for a variety of examination bodies including HRMPEB, KASNEB, HRCI, KNEC, AND ICDL. We are duly licensed and accredited by the Ministry of Education as a TVET institution. In addition in partnership with Centre for Open and Distance Learning, we are a recruitment centre for Indira Gandhi National Open University – IGNOU. Under the executive training and consultancy wing the college offers a wide range of calendared training, programs, and events on thematic areas in HR, leadership, and management. We also offer customized training solutions and consultancy on a wide variety of issues key to organizational success.

Education is more than just learning facts and figures. It is also about developing critical thinking skills, learning to communicate effectively, and becoming a well-rounded individual. We offer a variety of extracurricular activities and opportunities for student engagement, such as clubs, societies, and sporting events. We are committed to helping our students succeed and providing them with the support they need to reach their full potential. HRCI programs Application Process

Step 1: Create an account at hrci.org, ensuring correct names (cannot be changed later).

Step 2: Begin application: enter demographic data, education level, HR experience → check eligibility.

Step 3: Generate an offline invoice (no payment yet) and share with CHRM.

Step 4: Submit CHRM College application form with:

• National ID
• Academic certificates & transcripts
• Passport-size photo
• Current CV
• HRCI invoice showing eligibility

Step 5: Pay Ksh. 1,000 application fee (covers HRCI invoice). Receive admission letter &
program invoice.

2. Mode of Study

  1. Students receive admission number (also E-campus login).
  2. Access to LMS with resources, revision kits, and Zoom-linked classes.
  3. Program runs 5–7 weeks with issued timetable.

Delivery models:

  • Online classes (via E-campus)
  • Two-week residential class (Nairobi)
  • Two-week executive physical class (Mombasa)

Examination & Results

  1. Exams scheduled via HRCI Student Portal using voucher codes (valid 180 days).
  2. Students choose exam date and Pearson Vue test center.
  3. Format: Multiple-choice.
  4. Results released within 30 minutes.
  5. Pass mark: 500/700 (71.4%).
  6. Successful candidates immediately access HRCI badge & certificate.
