Walking into a new college campus carries a unique mix of excitement and quiet nerves. For a new student, the big question is always, “Will I really fit in here?” For a parent sitting beside them, it’s often deeper: “Am I placing my child’s future in the right hands?”
On Saturday, 5th September, those anxieties dissolved into pure confidence as CHRM College welcomed the September 2026 Intake.
The campus came alive with an incredible mix of generations, eager students, supportive parents and guardians, frontline staff, and department managers, all gathering to mark the start of something life-changing.
A Guide for the Journey Ahead
Stepping into higher education shouldn’t feel like being thrown into the deep end without a lifeline. That was the core message delivered by our Chief Guest and Board Member, Dr. James Mwikya Reuben, PhD.
In his address to the filled hall, Dr. Mwikya reassured both students and parents that no one walks this path alone. Higher education at CHRM isn’t just about passing exams; it’s about building board-ready professionals through steady, hands-on mentorship and constant support.
How the Day Unfolded
From the moment the opening prayer set a grounded, welcoming tone, the orientation was designed to give every new student a clear, stress-free roadmap for their studies:
- Departmental Addresses: Faculty heads and managers broke down what to expect in the lecture halls, replacing academic fear with clear, actionable preparation.
- Open Plenary: A live Q&A session where parents and students asked real questions about schedules, career pathways, and student life, and got direct, honest answers.
- The Campus Tour: Guided walks through the lecture rooms, library, and student spaces, helping them picture where their daily routines will take shape.
From Uncertainty to Unshakeable Confidence
By the time the afternoon wrapped up, the atmosphere in the room had completely shifted. Nerves were replaced by shared laughter, exchanged phone numbers among classmates, and a palpable sense of relief from parents who knew their investment was secure.
