Susan Kihato is an accomplished governance and legal professional with over 15 years of Senior Leadership experience in both the public and private sectors. She is a Certified Public Secretary and Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, currently serving as a Corporation Secretary and Head of Legal Services with a State Corporation. Her expertise spans corporate governance, legal and regulatory compliance, institutional policy development, and governance audits. She has provided strategic support to boards and executive teams, guided legal compliance frameworks, and spearheaded institutional reforms that advance transparency, accountability, and organizational performance.
Susan is a member of the Institute of Certified Secretaries of Kenya (ICS), the Law Society of Kenya (LSK), and the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM). She holds a Master of Laws (LL.M), Master of Business Administration (MBA), and Bachelor of Laws (LL.B), alongside a Postgraduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law. Her governance career has also included consultancy roles where she led governance and compliance audits, board evaluations, and capacity-building initiatives across East Africa.
