Rev. Canon Stephine Opiyo Obong’o is a Canon of the Church in the Anglican communion and serves in the ministry as a priest at the ACK. St. Mary’s Syokimau Parish, and as Chairman Board of Human Resource & Administration – the ACK Diocese of Machakos. He is also the Chaplain of the College of Human Resource Management (CHRM). He holds an MBA – HRM (UoN), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA – Maseno) – Accounting Major (1st Class Hons.), CPA (K), Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management (HDHRM), Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP-K), and an ongoing Ph.D. Student in Business Administration, Human Resource (UoN) and a Bachelor’s Student of Divinity at St. Paul’s University. He is also a Certified Mediator (MIT).
He is a part-time lecturer at the College of Human Resource Management (CHRM) and a Ph.D. (student and part-time lecturer at the University of Nairobi and JKUAT).
Canon Stephine currently works as the Head of Employee Relations at National Bank of Kenya and formerly a member of the Board of College of Human Resource Management (CHRM).
He has work experience spanning over seventeen years, both in a manufacturing set up at EABL, and experience in operations from three leading Financial Institutions in Kenya, namely: Barclays Bank, Kenya Commercial Bank and National Bank of Kenya.
He is an expert in Research, Statistics, Business Performance & Analytics (Finance), Human Resource Metrics & Analytics, Corporate Training and Corporate Governance. Mr. Obong’o is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPACK), a Human Resource Practitioner – Certified Practitioner and a Member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) Kenya.
