ODHIAMBO OOKO- Fellow of the Institute of Human Resources Management(FIHRM)
Odhiambo holds -CHRP (K),MBA(HRM), BA(Psychology) HND and Diploma in HRM and Executive certificate in Industrial Relations.
He is an all-rounded HRM practitioner with over twenty-five years’ experience in diverse sectors including Manufacturing, Oil and gas, Airline, Hotel and Restaurant, Banking, and Technology. Odhiambo is currently working at Safaricom PLC as Centre of excellence Chapter lead in employee and Labour relations department.
He has experience and exposure to end-to-end Human Resources responsibilities from recruitment to exit management. He has been involved in organization change programs. In letting the impacted staff exit he has formulated exit policies and processes that ensure fairness and transparent disengagement.
He is a Consultant, Facilitator, speaker, mentor and an accredited court mediator with the Employment and Labour Relations Court. . He has facilitated training in Change Management, Labour laws, Team building, Employee wellbeing Employee and Labour relations Negotiatioin, Line manager tool kit, for the following: Institute of Human Resources Management(IHRM), College of Human Resources Management (CHRM) Strathmore Business School(SBS) College of Insurance, among others.
He is currently serving as a chairman at college of human resources management (CHRM and a board member of Aquinas High School. He is a former director of IHRM, Pwani school for the mentally challenged and a member of the disciplinary council of the Institute of Certified Investment Financial Analysts (ICIFA)
Odhiambo is married to Jemmimah and they have three adult children, Elizabeth, Sam and Charity.
