Diploma in Criminal Justice – TVET CDACC Level 6

Course Overview

The Criminal Justice course at the College of Human Resource Management-CHRM is offered in collaboration with, The Institute of Certified Safety and Security Professionals of Kenya-ICSSPK, an independent body for security professional career development in Kenya. The course has been designed after a thorough consultation with stakeholders through the Ministry of Education under CDACC to address security gaps in training professionals. Learners taking this program will gain professional registration with ICSSPK.

Entry Qualifications
  • KCSE C- or its Equivalent, Pass Level 5 of Related Course, any other Equivalent Qualification Determined by KNQA

Description of the course

This course is designed to equip a Learner with the competencies required to perform Criminal justice  and security operation management practices

Graduates holding a Diploma in Criminal Justice – TVET CDACC Level 6 are primed for dynamic career opportunities within the criminal justice sector. Equipped with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills, they can pursue roles as law enforcement officers, corrections specialists, or probation and parole officers. Alternatively, they may opt for careers as crime analysts, victim advocates, or security consultants, contributing to crime prevention and public safety efforts. Course Duration

The course will be assessed at two levels: internally and externally. Internal assessment is continuous and is conducted by the trainer who is monitored by an internal accredited verifier while external assessment is the responsibility of TVET/CDACC.

Course Certification

A candidate will be issued with a Certificate of Competency on demonstration of competence in a unit of competency. To attain the qualification Cyber security technician Level 6, the candidate must demonstrate competence in all the units of competency as given in qualification pack. These certificates will be issued by TVET CDACC in conjunction with training provider

  • 1 ½ Years Consisting of 4 terms 3 months each, plus additional 3 months industrial attachment

  • Early morning and Evenings (6.30 am - 8.30 am, 11.30 am – 2.00 pm, 2.30 pm – 5.00pm, 8.30 am - 4.00 pm, 5.30 pm - 8.30 pm)
  • Weekends (Saturday)
  • Online
  • Fulltime 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday
