Course Assessment

The course will be assessed at two levels: internally and externally. Internal assessment is continuous and is conducted by the trainer who is monitored by an internal accredited verifier while external assessment is the responsibility of TVET/CDACC.

Course Certification

A candidate will be issued with a Certificate of Competency on demonstration of competence in a unit of competency. To attain the qualification Forensic Investigation- Level 5, the candidate must demonstrate competence in all the units of competency as given in qualification pack. These certificates will be issued by TVET /CDACC in conjunction with training provider

Course Overview

This certificate assists professionals interested in advancing their HR careers by providing the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully fulfill the role of a human resources generalist. The coursework is designed to reflect the most current activities and functions within the field of human resources. This certificate aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the generalist’s role. Graduates of this program will leave with the ability to confidently interact with specialists in various human resources areas and positively influence HR functions within organizations.

This program serves as an entry point into the Human Resource Profession and can be upgraded to a Diploma, Higher Diploma, or the certified Human Resource Professional Program. It is examined by KNEC.

Eligibility Requirements

Entry Qualifications
  • Holders of a KCSE D plain (KNEC) Certificate, with at least a D+ in English and Mathematics;
  • Holders of a Certificate examined by KNEC

Course Duration

The Certificate is divided into 2 Modules and each module is divided into 2 terms each of 3 months.  Business Plan is done in module 1 and Research Project in module 2.

Documents required when applying for registration (in duplicate):

  • Duly filled Registration and/or Examination forms.
  • Certified copies of certificates
  • Copies of identification document e.g. ID card, Passport, Waiting Slip or Birth Certificate
  • 2 Passport size photograph
  • Legal documents such as Marriage Certificates supporting change of names where applicable

Other Requirements

A non-refundable Application fee of Kshs500/- is applicable before any application can be processed. Deposits are done via a direct deposit into the following bank account. (NB: No Cash payments accepted.)
